| Our
current adult ministry is three-fold: 1) Outreach- The Saturday morning soup ministry at the local corner liquor stores presents the opportunity to build a relationship with the drug addicts and alcoholics who "hangout" on that corner. We are then able to share not only food for the body, but we are able to minister to the soul with the "Book of Hope" we hand out, and with prayer for the needs they share with us. We have had the opportunity to send over four people to faith based drug and alcohol rehab through the ministry so that the Lord may bring break the bondage and bring healing. 2) Turning Point- Which is just starting; is a 9 week long Bible based group interaction setting for those with life controlling problems. This program is for those people who do not need a one-year program, or for some reason, is not able to commit to such a long program. 3) Bible Study/Fellowship- The Women of Light fellowship, started by a woman from the local community, is geared to the special needs of women who are seeking the leading of the Lord. Our Thursday night Fellowship is a time of Bible teaching and prayer for anyone in the community. |
